Health Implications of Wildfire Smoke for Seniors

In our recent Air Quality and Aging webinar hosted by ACA and West Central Airshed Society (WCAS), Dr. Ryan Allen shared research on long-term exposure to wildfire smoke and its link to premature mortality, reduced lung function, and increased risks of lung and brain cancers. For seniors, wildfire smoke also poses heightened risks, including poor brain health and increased dementia rates.
